Polo GGB focuses on research and development of genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics solutions, delivering innovative services to academic institutions and the public\/private sectors.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Polo GGB is a partner in prestigious European and international research projects, collaborating with centers of excellence and leading institutions such as the European Commission and the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>The Genomics &amp; Bioinformatics Laboratory, located within the bio-incubator of the\u202f<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toscanalifesciences.org\/it\/\">Toscana Life Sciences Foundation<\/a><\/span>\u202fin Siena, is a cutting-edge research center as well as an accredited diagnostic laboratory specializing in medical genetics.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4>Polo GGB is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the Genomics &amp; Bioinformatics Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Rosa Giglio (Senior NGS Researcher) and Dr. Chiara Leo (Senior Bioinformatician).<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4>The candidate\u2019s activities will focus on molecular biology and genomics with particular emphasis on the development of molecular biology assays and the provision of technical support to other departments within the company.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Preparation of detailed technical notes and presentations to report experimental results.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>The candidate will conduct all activities in compliance with the requirements of Quality Standards and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).<\/h4>\n<h4>The position is available immediately.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or a closely related field.<\/li>\n<li>Proven expertise in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, nucleic acid extraction, cloning, CRISPR-Cas systems, NGS library preparation, and sequencing.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation, evidenced by first-author publications in quality journals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Personal Skills<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Highly motivated to engage in cutting-edge research and publish in top-tier journals.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to independently plan, conduct, and analyze experiments.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.<\/li>\n<li>Problem-solving mindset and strong analytical abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
