Third event of the T.I.S. “Top Italian Scientist” Seminar Series – Thursday 18 December 2014, h. 14:00, Aula Magna Classroom 9 – School of Medicine, University of Perugia
On Thursday, December 18, directly from Japan will join us Prof. PIERO CARNINCI, internationally renowned genetist, who will host the third event of the T.I.S. (Top Italian Scientist), holding the seminar: “THE ROLE OF NON-CODING RNA IN MAMMALIAN TRANSCRIPTOMES”.
Prof. Carninci after obtaining his Doctorate degree in Italy (Univ. Of Trieste), moved to Japan 20 years ago for joining RIKEN Centre, where he has been appointed with several scientific positions. From April 2013 he serves as Chairman of the Division of Applied Technologies and Deputy Director of the Center for Life Science Technologies.
As always, a “Q&A Session” will follow the speaker’s speech, giving participants the chance to explore specific aspects of scientific and human experience of the researcher.
Students will also be involved in the “Top Italian Student” competition, which will awards best answers with scientific gifts!
