The annual meeting that brings together all the numerous public and private partners involved in the project was held in the Greek capital from January 23 to 26.
SCENARIOS (Strategies for health protection, pollution Control and Elimination of Next generAtion RefractIve Organic chemicals from the Soil, vadose zone and water), funded by the European Community and coordinated by the Universita’ del Piemonte Orientale, brings together various research institutes with the aim of devising and demonstrating a complete set of technological solutions to address detection, (bio)monitoring, long-term toxicity, risk assessment, pollution control, and remediation of PFAS as a test case to achieve the ambitious goal of zero pollution from organic chemicals.
Representing Polo GGB, our researchers Anna Rocchi and Chiara Leo participated for the bioinformatics activities of Siena, and Luisa Nunziangeli, head of the immunology laboratory at the Terni site. The event was an important opportunity to review the activities of 2023 and, above all, to share ideas and projects for 2024. The results of the last year’s work were presented, which allowed for valuable exchanges and experiences, thanks to the presence of all the involved partners.
